A new family-run farm shop selling locally reared meat and fresh fruit and vegetables has just opened in Northamptonshire.
Elliott's Farm Shop located in Norborough Lodge Farm, on the A5 near to the Heart of the Shires shopping village, threw open its doors for the very first time this morning (June 18).
The family, who also own a Butcher's in Kislingbury, were on hand to welcome customers to the new shop, which is inside a renovated farm building.According to the owners, the launch went really well and the shop has been bustling with customers all morning.
Tom Elliott said: "We're really happy with how it has gone, it has been really busy.
"We have some existing customers from Kislingbury who live in this direction, so they've been popping in and we've just had a lot of interest in the past few weeks.
"Everyone who comes in seems to be really impressed, they're all saying 'wow' and 'it's lovely'."
Tom also added that customers are being understanding of the social distancing measures that are in place, as they are taking note of the signs and being patient in the shop.
Inside the renovated farm building there are fridges, meat counters, a preparation space and display units, which are home to local produce, cupboards essentials and even homemade chutneys.
The shop will be open six days a week, Tuesdays to Sundays and the family is also looking into a opening an on-site cafe later this year.
At the moment, weekday opening hours are 8am-5pm, Saturdays will be 8am-2pm and Sundays will be 10am-1pm.
