The University of Northampton has announced record-breaking growth, following the news of a 14.3 per cent increase in its overall student numbers.
Recent recruitment figures show the university's roster has grown by 1,379 students since this time last year, meaning that more than 11,000 students are now studying at Northampton.

Particular growth areas have been for BA courses in accounting and finance, business and management and events management as well, as the Early Years Sure Start-endorsed foundation degree and the BA in childhood and youth.

Other areas include the BSc in applied animal studies and the HND in interactive digital media.

Part-time undergraduate numbers are also seeing sustained growth.

Dr Frank Burdett, pro vice-chancellor, said: "The university continues to grow from strength to strength.

"Our future success offers an excellent outcome, not just for our students and staff but also in terms of our growing engagement with local communities, businesses and other corporate level partners."
