Outstanding schools and early year providers in Northamptonshire have been highlighted in OFSTED's annual report.
Five schools, one college and seven childcare providers were judged to be providing outstanding care and education following inspections in the Annual Report of HM chief inspector of education, children's services and skills in 2007/8.
Among them are Woodland View Primary School, in Grange Park, Moulton College, the Camrose SureStart Children's Centre in Northampton and Flore Pre-School.
For Camrose, it is the second time the centre has been named in an annual end of year report for OFSTED inspections.
Other top providers include Bishop Stopford School, in Kettering, which has appeared in the list for the third time over a 15-year period, Croyland Children's Centre and Freemans Endowed CofE Junior School, both in Wellingborough.
A total of 28 organisations have been named as high achievers out of 2,635 outstanding early years and childcare providers including fostering agencies as well as schools and colleges.
Woodland View's headteacher Mark Thomas said: "I am delighted for my fantastic team that our school has been highlighted as outstanding in The Annual Report of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector 2007/08.
"I would, however, like to point out that in all Northamptonshire schools (even those OFSTED rate as needing to improve), there are some brilliant heads and teachers who don't get the recognition they deserve due to the nature of the inspection process.
"Our whole community should support, and be proud of, the dedication and commitment of our talented teachers, and the difference they make to lives of children across the county."
