A lollipop lady from Northampton has been named as the Top of the Lollipops for the East Midlands.
Pam Shelton was presented with her award from Kwik Fit Insurance's annual search for the UK's best lollipop person at All Saints Church of England Primary, Boughton Green Road.

Despite tough competition, she scooped the regional prize for the East Midlands winning £500 of travel vouchers, £100 of book vouchers for the school and a silver trophy shaped like a lollipop.

She is also now in the running for the overall UK title.

The lollipop lady awards were launched by television star Lorraine Kelly and are now in their fifth year.
