A school in Northampton has taken the 'difficult but pragmatic' decision to partially close.
Malcolm Arnold Academy will close from tomorrow (March 18) until April 1 to years 8, 9 and 10.

Hide AdThe school has had to make this decision after a number of staff have had to self-isolate.
A spokeswoman for David Ross Academy, which runs Malcolm Arnold, said: “In light of the Government’s announcement last night and in consultation with the David Ross Education Trust, Malcolm Arnold Academy has taken the difficult but pragmatic decision to partially close the academy.
"This is due to members of staff having to self-isolate for the recommended period of 14 days.
"The partial closure will take effect from Wednesday 18 March until Wednesday 1 April.

Hide Ad“The academy will remain open for students in Years 7, 11, 12 and 13 and we will be focused on ensuring minimal disruption to learning for these year groups.
"For other year groups, work will be set by teachers for students to complete at home, using technology platforms.
“We recognise this is an unsettling time for everyone and will continue to prioritise our students’ safety above all else..
"We are keeping parents updated on any developments and will continue to follow all Government guidance from Public Health England and from the Department for Education.”
