A45 in Northampton closed because of man on bridge

Part of the A45 in Northampton was closed by police during the Friday evening rush hour after reports that a man had put himself in "a position of danger".
Traffic out of Northampton suffered delays after police closed the dual carriageway at 5.20pm due to concerns that a man might jump off a bridge at the Bedford Road interchange.

The A45 was fully reopened after officers managed to remove the man and he was taken to a place of safety.
