Two men have been arrested, one after police stopped a bus, after an attempted robbery in Northmapton.
Two people tried to rob a young man of his motorbike near shops in Dayrell Road, Camp Hill, at 5pm on Thursday but were thwarted due to the intervention of three members of the public.

As a result of police enquiries, a 19-year-old Northampton man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and also on suspicion of the robbery of a taxi driver in Pitstone Road last weekend.

And earlier today, police stopped a bus in the Briar Hill area of the town and arrested an 18-year-old man who was a passenger.

He will also be questioned on suspicion of the robbery in Dayrell Road.
