Another busy shift for officers in Northampton as three arrested on suspicion of drink or drug driving

A team of police officers had yet another busy overnight shift as two arrests were made on suspicion of drink driving and one on suspicion of drug driving.
Northamptonshire Police’s Roads Policing Team were out and about in Northampton overnight – Sunday July 23 into Monday July 24.

Hide AdThis comes just a week after the same team made four arrests in a matter of hours on suspicion of similar offences.
Those arrested and charged are:
-Guntis Davidsons, aged 36, of Balfour Close, Northampton was stopped by officers while driving a grey BMW in Park Avenue South, Northampton shortly after 9pm on Sunday (July 23). He was arrested on suspicion of driving while over the drink drive limit and subsequently charged with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above the limit. He was bailed to appear Northampton Magistrates’ Court on August 8.
-Kunmi Labinjo, aged 38, of Rounding Lane, Northampton, was stopped driving a grey Range Rover Evoque in High Street, Northampton, shortly before 10.45pm on Sunday (July 23). He was arrested on suspicion of driving while over the drink drive limit and subsequently charged with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above the limit. He is due to appear Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday (July 24).
-Mihai Dav, aged 43, of Pytchley Street, Northampton, was stopped driving a grey BMW 520D in College Street, Northampton at about 1.40am on Monday (July 24). He was arrested after failing a roadside drug wipe test however, was subsequently charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis. He was bailed to appear Northampton Magistrates’ Court on August 8.
