Police 'disperse' dozens of people in Northampton having Bank Holiday BBQ
A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police has confirmed the force was called Saturday evening (May 9) to reports of a large gathering at Lings Way, next to St Peter's School.
A group of 35 people were sat together at about 5pm where they were having a BBQ and playing music during the lockdown period.

An eyewitness said her mum spent one hour cleaning up dumped disposable BBQs, Russian vodka bottles and cigarette packets the following morning after the group left them behind.
She said: "It was families or one big family. It was rude and they took over the whole field by the skate park. It took my mum about an hour to clear it all up.
"Personally, I think it’s selfish. The quicker we follow the rules, the quicker we can work through this - I don’t understand why it’s so hard to follow the rules considering it’s such a serious situation."
