Police appeal for witnesses after man in his 20s assaulted in town-centre takeaway

A man in his 20s suffered a broken jaw following a late-night punch-up in a Northampton chip shop.

Police were called to the town-centre takeaway in Bradshaw Street after the victim was assaulted during an "altercation."

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "This incident happened inside the fish and chip shop between 2am and 3am on Saturday, February 29, A man suffered a broken jaw as a result of an altercation with a group of people.

"If anybody saw anything or has any information regarding this incident, please contact us on 101 quoting incident number 20000120444."
