Victim who suffered serious head injury in Northampton knife incident required 15 stitches

A 28-year-old accused of slashing another man with a kitchen knife during a serious incident at a Northampton neighbourhood has appeared in court.
Christopher Hulland, of The Oaks, was charged with wounding with intent after a 54-year-old was found seriously injured in a Northampton street over the weekend.

Hide AdFollowing the disturbance in Grange Park at 4.30pm on Sunday (May 2), the victim was taken to hospital for emergency surgery and required 15 stitches to his scalp.
Hulland appeared at Magistrates Court today charged with wounding with intent, two counts of common assault and possession of a bladed article.
He was remanded into custody and will appear at Northampton Crown Court later this week.
A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in The Oaks area between 4:15pm and 4:30pm to contact them.
