Northants Captains completed their season unbeaten with a thumping 8½-3½ victory over Leicestershire & Rutland at Kingsthorpe GC.
Once vice president Robin Seabrook and Wellingborough's John Bunyan grabbed the opening point on the 18th hole, the result rarely looked in doubt as Northants stormed into a 4-0 lead.

Past president Alan Gadsden and Oundle's Derek Rogers were the most impressive home winners as they clinched game nine by the scoreline 6&4.

The team victory over Leics also meant Northants picked up the Frank Wilkinson Trophy and levelled the score in the annual contest at 15½ wins apiece.
